Lagos State Governor Sanwo-Olu celebrates Tinubu at 74, Paises Leadership
Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the governor of Lagos State and chairman of the South-West Governors Forum, sent Bola Ahmed Tinubu heartfelt birthday wishes on his 74th anniversary, characterising him as a kind and patriotic leader. Sanwo-Olu commended the President for being a visionary and determined statesman whose leadership has fuelled economic expansion, prosperity, and a resurgence of public trust in government.
The governor characterised Tinubu, who turns 74 on Sunday, as a unique individual whose services to the advancement of the country continue to be noteworthy in a statement released on Saturday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Gboyega Akosile. He praised the President’s influence on politics, governance, and the economy, pointing out that it has been crucial to the development of Lagos State, the South-West area, and Nigeria overall.
“I congratulate our National Leader, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on his 74th birthday on behalf of my wife, Ibijoke, my family, the government and people of Lagos State, as well as leaders and members of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos,” Sanwo-Olu declared.
He characterised Tinubu as an experienced democrat who has dedicated a significant portion of his life to public service, noting that his record in government demonstrates a strong dedication to the advancement of the country.
He declared, “President Tinubu is an enigmatic, tested, and trusted politician whose democratic credentials and governance style underscore his dedication to building a better Nigeria.” Sanwo-Olu went on to emphasise the President’s dedication to inclusive leadership and national cohesion, pointing out that his Renewed Hope Agenda initiatives had benefited people all throughout the nation.
Additionally, he acknowledged that during his time as governor in the early years of the Fourth Republic, Tinubu laid the groundwork for contemporary Lagos, a legacy that he claimed has made the state a model for others both inside and outside of Nigeria.
He continued, “As President, he has demonstrated bravery, honesty, and patriotism in guiding the country through difficult challenges, enacting audacious reforms aimed at addressing economic issues and improving the lives of Nigerians.”
As he continues to guide the nation toward greater political and economic progress, the governor also prayed for the President’s health, strength, and wisdom.
