Former Big Brother Naija housemate Doyin David has shared her advice for contestants preparing to enter the BBNaija Season 11 house, encouraging them to be authentic, outspoken, and unafraid of criticism.
Speaking during the BBNaija Season 11 pre-show media launch in Lagos on Thursday, Doyin urged incoming housemates to avoid playing it safe or trying too hard to protect their public image.
According to her, contestants should fully express themselves while in the house, even if their actions later attract criticism.
“My advice to the incoming BBNaija Season 11 housemates is, don’t be boring, don’t be a furniture. Don’t be scared of people judging you.”
She added that housemates should freely say what they think and act naturally instead of worrying about public opinion.
“Say whatever you want to say and do whatever you want to do. You will deal with consequences later.”
Doyin Urges Contestants to Stay Independent
Beyond being entertaining, Doyin also encouraged the new housemates to learn how to enjoy their own company throughout the competition.
She noted that not everyone in the house will form close friendships, making it important for contestants to remain emotionally strong and independent.
“Also, learn how to have fun by yourself. When you are in that house, you might not have a lot of friends but you need to be able to stand alone and don’t be depressed about it.”
Her comments come just days before another highly anticipated edition of Nigeria’s biggest reality TV show.
