Celine Dion announces return to the stage amid fight with incurable illness
After battling an incurable disease for years, renowned Canadian musician Celine Dion has announced her return to the stage. In a now-trending video posted on her Instagram page to commemorate her 58th birthday, the singer announced that she will be making a comeback with a series of concerts in Paris, France, from September 12 to October 14, 2026.
Celine Dion thanked her followers for their love and prayers, saying, “You have helped me in ways that I cannot describe.” I feel incredibly lucky to have your support.
“I really have missed you.” Celine declared, “I’m singing again and even dancing a little.”
The statement was made over three years after she postponed her world tour due to a neurological condition, according to Newspaper. In 2022, Celine was diagnosed with “Stiff Person Syndrome,” an incurable condition that results in uncontrollably stiff muscles.
She hasn’t been seen in public since her initial appearance at the 66th Grammy Awards Ceremony in 2024.
