Mr Real Responds to Idowest’s Claim of Ownership of Hit Song ‘Legbegbe’
Mr. Real, a Nigerian artist, has refuted his colleague Idowest's assertion that he is the original creator of the well-known street ballad "Legbegbe."

Mr. Real, a Nigerian artist, has refuted his colleague Idowest’s assertion that he is the original creator of the well-known street ballad “Legbegbe.” One of the songs that supported the Shaku Shaku trend was “Legbegbe,” which Mr. Real and Idowest released in 2018.
But Mr. Real has stated time and time again that he regrets having Idowest on the song, saying that if he had performed the song by himself, he would have been more famous.
Idowest made fun of Mr. Real’s claim and even asserted that he was the original owner of “Legbegbe” on a recent livestream with streamer Caterefe.
“I am the original owner of ‘Legbegbe,'” he declared. I wrote the entire song. Mr. Real is now claiming the song, even though I merely included him on it as my boy from the neighbourhood. I’ll bash him up because he’s an old man.
In response, Mr. Real stated in a video broadcast that he is the real owner of “Legbegbe” and emphasised that Idowest had lied throughout the interview.
He also agreed to fight in public when Idowest invited him.
“I heard everything you stated during Carter Efe’s live performance, Idowest. You declared that you would defeat me in a match. I’ll beat you because I’m your older brother.
“I’ve heard you were expelled from the United States. You are disparaging me and claiming my song, “Legbegbe,” rather than using it to promote your own music. He declared, “I won’t even waste my valuable time on you.”
