Six Boko Haram suspects undergo fresh probe in Borno

As attempts to destroy militant networks in the Northeast continue, troops of Operation Hadin Kai have turned over six suspected Boko Haram members to joint investigators for additional inquiry in Borno State. The accused were moved to the Joint Investigation Centre (JIC) in Maiduguri, according to a post made on X on Sunday by security analyst Zagazola Makama.
The post claims that the suspects were previously held by soldiers of the 232 Battalion (Task Force), who conducted preliminary investigations before turning them over on April 13.
Alhaji Saleh Manman Ibrahim, 44; Ado John, 27; Umaru Yunusa, 22; Musa Yauba, 43; Muhammad Salisu, 44; and Babangida Isah Muhammad, 28 were the names of the individuals.
According to security sources, the move is a part of the military’s continuous efforts to conduct more thorough investigations, accurately profile the suspects, and identify potential connections to Boko Haram and other insurgent organisations active in the area.
