LAUTECH HND to BSc Conversion Admission Guide 2026

LAUTECH HND to BSc Top-Up/Conversion Admission Guide 2026 – Full, Detailed Overview for Your Education Decisions

Success in upgrading your academic credentials often depends on knowing the right path and understanding the rules. For HND holders seeking a full B.Sc degree without restarting from 100 level, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, offers a structured Top-Up/Conversion programme.

This initiative, managed through the Directorate of Part-Time Programmes, is weekend-focused, flexible, and designed for working professionals. It is important to note that this is separate from LAUTECH’s Open & Distance Learning (ODL) options, which also allow HND holders in certain disciplines to enter 200/300 level under distance learning.

As of March 2026, the 2025/2026 Part-Time Top-Up admission window closed on October 1, 2025. LAUTECH has not officially announced the 2026/2027 Top-Up intake yet. Historically, forms open mid-year, usually around July–October, and the programme structure, requirements, and processes remain largely consistent year-on-year.

How the Top-Up Programme Works

The Top-Up/Conversion programme is designed to combine academic rigor with flexibility for working professionals:

  • Weekend Lectures: Classes are held Fridays, Saturdays, and occasionally Sundays
  • 300-Level Entry: You complete only the remaining courses plus projects or thesis
  • Full B.Sc Degree: Graduates receive a regular B.Sc degree, identical to the traditional route
  • NYSC Compliance: The NYSC requirement is fulfilled via your attached certificate

Best Period to Apply: Forms are typically released 3–6 months before the academic session begins. Early application is critical, especially for competitive courses like Accounting, Computer Science, and Estate Management.
