Isuofia Community Mourns the Passing of Its Traditional Ruler

His Royal Highness, Igwe (Col.) C.A.O. Muoghalu, the Isu Nk’Ibua n’Isuofia, the traditional ruler of the Isuofia community in Aguata Local Government Area, Anambra State, has passed away.
The knowledge was communicated to the indigenous people in an announcement made on April 16, 2026, by Chief Ndubuisi Osele, the community’s traditional prime minister.
In the announcement, the Onowu (traditional prime minister) stated that the community’s business would continue, and that indigenous members of the community could speak with the palace secretary if they require advice on issues pertaining to the traditional stool. “Notification/Announcement of Royal Transition and Compliance with Constitutional Provisions” was the text of the announcement.
To publicly announce His Royal Highness, Igwe (Col.) C.A.O. Muoghalu, Isu Nk’Ibua n’Isuofia’s transition today, April 16, 2026, I write in solemn duty and with a profound feeling of civic obligation.
“The Onowu is required under Section 76 of the Isuofia People’s Assembly Constitution to notify the Assembly’s Executive Council of this event, therefore initiating the constitutional procedures associated with such a changeover.
“With regard to this royal transition, the Executive Council is kindly asked to follow the requirements of the Isuofia People’s Assembly Constitution and to conduct all required and suitable actions as outlined therein.
Additionally, throughout this time, the Palace is still accessible and accommodating to the requirements of all Isuofia residents.
Community members are urged to contact the palace through the Palace Secretary, who has been officially instructed to handle such obligations with care and decorum, if they have questions, concerns, or need advice on subjects pertaining to the palace.
“May all actions during this solemn period be guided by wisdom, unity, and adherence to our cherished customs and constitutional provisions.”
