Turkish actress Özge Törer has continued to receive recognition for her acting career, particularly for her role as Bala Hatun in the historical television drama Kuruluş: Osman, where she starred opposite Burak Özçivit.
Born on August 16, 1999, in İzmir, Törer became widely recognised through her portrayal of Bala Hatun, one of the central characters in the long-running Turkish historical drama.
Her work on the series has helped introduce her to audiences across Turkey and international markets where Turkish television dramas have developed large followings.
Özge Törer’s Growing List of Awards
Törer has received several acting honours during her career.
Among her earlier recognitions is the Crystal Globe Award for Best Actress of the Year in 2020.
She has continued to receive additional honours, including the Eurasian Consumer Protection Association’s Best Actress of the Year, the 5th International Diamond Awards’ TV Actress of the Year and the 11th Golden 61 Awards’ Best Actress of the Year.
The awards add to the recognition she has received for her television work and particularly her performance in Kuruluş: Osman.
Bala Hatun and Kuruluş Osman
Törer’s role as Bala Hatun has become one of the defining performances of her career.
Kuruluş: Osman is one of Turkey’s major television exports, with the series reaching audiences across the Middle East, Latin America, Central Asia and other international markets.
Turkish historical dramas have developed large international audiences, and the popularity of Kuruluş: Osman has helped its cast members build recognition outside Turkey.
For Törer, playing Bala Hatun has therefore provided exposure to audiences who may not have previously been familiar with her work.
Her continued awards recognition also demonstrates how a successful television role can become an important part of an actor’s international profile.
Turkish dizi, or television dramas, continue to compete for audiences in territories where Korean dramas and other international productions are also popular.
As Törer continues to receive acting honours, her association with Kuruluş: Osman remains central to her growing profile as a Turkish television actress.
