Nigeria’s Non-Oil Exports Hit Record $6.1 Billion Across 281 Products

Nigeria recorded its highest formally documented non-oil export performance of $6.1 billion across 281 products shipped to 120 countries, according to figures highlighted at the launch of the World Trade Centre Abuja Export Launchpad Bootcamp.

Vice President of the centre Karim Adelaja presented the numbers as evidence that Nigerian goods already find buyers in global markets spanning agriculture, manufacturing, technology, creative industries and professional services.

The bootcamp itself equips small and medium enterprises with practical skills in market selection, documentation, logistics, compliance and payments so more businesses can convert interest into actual export deals.

Participants leave with clearer pathways to international buyers and reduced risk of common documentation errors.

The strong non-oil figures arrive as policymakers continue pushing diversification away from crude oil dependence.

Exporters who attended the launch described improved access to information and networks as the most immediate benefit.

Officials hope the combination of record numbers and targeted training will lift the next wave of Nigerian products onto more shelves abroad.

The figures also underline the growing opportunity for businesses outside the oil sector, with better export preparation potentially helping more Nigerian companies turn international demand into sustained revenue.
