Bella Shmurda Says He Lost $4 Million in Alleged Lagos Real Estate Scam
Nigerian singer Bella Shmurda has claimed that he lost $4 million after allegedly falling victim to a real estate scam in Lagos State.
The music star made the shocking revelation during an Instagram Live session, where he said the money represented his hard-earned savings and that he only recently discovered the property transaction was fraudulent.
Bella Shmurda Alleges Property Was Sold Illegally
According to the singer, he purchased what he believed was a legitimate property in Lagos, only to later discover that the seller did not have the legal right to sell the house.
Bella Shmurda said the discovery left him devastated, adding that the individual who handled the sale has since disappeared without a trace.
The singer described the incident as one of the most painful experiences of his life, saying he had lost everything he invested in the deal.
Singer Says Legal Action Has Begun
Bella Shmurda revealed that he has already contacted his lawyer to begin investigating the matter and pursue legal action.
He expressed hope that the investigation would help uncover those responsible and possibly lead to the recovery of the funds.
At the time of his statement, the singer said the alleged seller could no longer be reached following the completion of the transaction.
Bella Shmurda Appeals for Public Support
During the emotional livestream, Bella Shmurda also appealed to Nigerians for support, saying the financial loss has left him in a difficult situation.
He said:
“Nigeria, I need your help. I am not okay right now. I lost $4 million of my hard-earned money to buy stolen property.”
He continued:
“The seller has disappeared. Please, help me. Someone should step in. I just contacted my lawyer for further investigation.”
Investigation Yet to Be Concluded
As of the time of writing, there has been no official confirmation regarding the alleged scam or the ownership dispute surrounding the property.
Authorities have also not publicly announced any arrests or findings related to the case, while Bella Shmurda says his legal team is continuing its investigation into the incident.
