Three Men Arraigned Over Oyo Schoolchildren and Teachers’ Kidnap, Face 10 Terrorism-Related Charges
The Federal Government has arraigned three men before the Federal High Court in Abuja over their alleged involvement in the abduction of schoolchildren and teachers in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
The suspects were brought before the court on Friday to answer a 10-count charge bordering on terrorism, kidnapping, concealment, incitement, and illegal mining.
According to the prosecution, the case is linked to the kidnapping of pupils and teachers from a school in Oyo State, an incident that drew widespread concern over insecurity in educational institutions.
Three Suspects Face Multiple Criminal Charges
The defendants were identified as:

Prosecutors told the court that they are facing charges related to terrorism, kidnapping, concealment of criminal activities, incitement, and illegal mining.
Alleged Conspiracy Behind the Oyo School Abduction
According to the charge filed by the Federal Government, the defendants allegedly conspired with three other individuals identified as Muhammad Sani, Jibril Mohammed, and Ibrahim Khabab between January and May 2026.
The prosecution alleged that the group worked together to carry out the abduction of schoolchildren and teachers in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.
The Federal Government is seeking to prosecute the suspects over their alleged roles in planning and executing the crime, with the case now before the Federal High Court for further proceedings.
The arraignment marks another major step in the government’s ongoing efforts to prosecute individuals accused of involvement in kidnapping and terrorism-related offences across the country.
