Don’t Get Married Without Money, Jarvis Warns Singles Ahead of White Wedding

Nigerian TikTok star Amadou Elizabeth Aminata, popularly known as Jarvis, has advised young people not to rush into marriage unless they are financially prepared.
The content creator shared the advice during a recent livestream while speaking about her upcoming white wedding with fellow TikTok personality Peller.
Jarvis explained that financial readiness is one of the most important factors couples should consider before getting married, stressing that many people underestimate the cost of planning a wedding.
Jarvis Says Financial Stability Should Come First
According to Jarvis, couples should avoid giving in to pressure from friends, family, or society if they are not financially capable of organizing a wedding.
She encouraged intending couples to take their time instead of struggling to meet expectations.
Speaking during the livestream, she said:
“If you don’t have money, don’t get married. Don’t try it, I beg you.”
She also suggested that couples could reduce financial pressure by separating their traditional and white wedding ceremonies instead of holding both in the same year.
According to her:
“If you are planning on getting married, you can share it by doing the traditional wedding this year and the white wedding the next year.”
Jarvis Opens Up About Wedding Preparations
Jarvis revealed that she and Peller also considered postponing their white wedding because of the demands involved in planning such a major event.
However, she admitted that waiting longer would not necessarily make the preparation easier.
She added:
“We almost postponed our wedding, but even if we put it in the next 50 years, we are never going to prepare for the wedding.”
Her comments have sparked conversations online, with many social media users agreeing that weddings should only happen when couples are financially and emotionally ready rather than under pressure.
Jarvis and Peller Set for August White Wedding
Jarvis and Peller recently confirmed that their white wedding is scheduled for August 1, 2026.
The couple already celebrated their traditional wedding in Benin City, Edo State, last month, with videos and photos from the ceremony attracting widespread attention across social media.
The upcoming white wedding is expected to draw fans, fellow content creators, and celebrities as the popular TikTok couple prepares for the next chapter of their relationship.
