Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham has opened up about a difficult period in her marriage, revealing that her husband, actor Kolawole Ajeyemi, once threatened to leave if she did not quit smoking.

According to the actress, she was once addicted to cigarettes but decided to give up the habit after her husband made it clear that her smoking could affect their marriage.
Abraham said she valued her relationship with Ajeyemi and did not want to lose her marriage over the addiction.
“My husband, Kolawole Ajeyemi is one of the best things that ever happened to me. He lets me shine and be me. I used to be a cigarette addict but he warned me that if I don’t stop smoking our marriage won’t work. I had to stop it because I valued my marriage.”
The actress said the decision was not easy, but she ultimately chose to stop smoking cigarettes.

Although Abraham said she has successfully stopped smoking cigarettes, she disclosed that she still uses vape products.
Her admission adds another layer to her story, as she described her husband as someone who has supported her while also being willing to draw boundaries when he feels something could affect their relationship.
