Jos killings: Tinubu calls off Ogun visit

President Bola Tinubu has cancelled his planned visit to Ogun State’s Iperu.
It was anticipated that the president would officially open the Gateway International Cargo Airport.

Rather, Tinubu will take a plane to Jos, the capital of Plateau State, to express his sympathy to the state’s inhabitants and government regarding the recent gun attacks that killed innocent people.

The president Special Advisor on Strategy and Information, Bayo Onanuga, issued a statement confirming this on Wednesday night. The President will fly to Ogun State on Saturday, April 4, after visiting Lagos to celebrate Good Friday.

On April 10, President Tinubu will travel to Bayelsa State to commission some of Governor Duoye Diri’s finished projects before heading back to Abuja.
