Wikki Tourists Set for Crown FC Friendly as NNL Preparations Gather Pace

Wikki Tourists will continue their build-up to the 2026/27 Nigeria National League (NNL) season with a pre-season friendly against Crown FC this weekend.
The highly anticipated warm-up fixture is scheduled to take place on Sunday at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi, offering both clubs another opportunity to fine-tune their squads ahead of the new campaign.
The friendly forms part of both teams’ preparations for the upcoming NNL season, with coaches expected to assess tactical setups, player fitness, and squad depth before competitive action begins.
Wikki Tourists have shown encouraging form throughout their pre-season programme, recording five victories and two defeats in their seven warm-up matches so far. The impressive run has boosted confidence within the squad as the Bauchi-based club continues its quest for a return to Nigeria’s top flight.
After missing out on a place in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), the Bauchi Elephants are determined to secure promotion at the end of the 2026/27 campaign.
Meanwhile, the club is still conducting a player screening exercise aimed at strengthening the squad. The ongoing assessment will help the coaching crew identify fresh talents capable of adding quality and depth ahead of what promises to be a demanding league season.
The clash against Crown FC is expected to provide another valuable test as Wikki Tourists continue preparations for their promotion push.
