Daniel Daga Continues Hot Streak as Molde Settle for Dramatic 3-3 Draw Against Sarpsborg

Nigerian midfielder Daniel Daga continued his impressive run of form after finding the back of the net in Molde’s thrilling 3-3 draw against Sarpsborg 08 in the Norwegian Eliteserien on Sunday.

The entertaining six-goal encounter at Aker Stadion saw both sides battle fiercely, with Molde letting a lead slip despite Daga’s crucial contribution.

The 19-year-old midfielder scored Molde’s third goal of the afternoon, reacting quickest inside the penalty area to power a close-range header into the net after Emil Breivik flicked on a corner kick.

It was another standout moment for the talented youngster, who has now scored in back-to-back league matches after also getting on the scoresheet against KFUM-Kameratene Oslo last weekend.

Daga’s recent performances have underlined his growing importance to Molde, with the Nigerian now boasting two goals in his last three Eliteserien appearances. His confidence in front of goal has become an added weapon for the Norwegian side as the season progresses.

Despite Molde’s attacking display, Sarpsborg mounted a spirited comeback to rescue a point, denying the home side what looked set to be a valuable victory.

Daga remained influential throughout the contest before making way for Mathias Fjørtoft Løvik with 16 minutes left on the clock.

The teenager’s excellent recent form will undoubtedly be a major boost for both Molde and Nigerian football fans, as he continues to establish himself as one of the country’s brightest young midfield talents playing in Europe.
