Suspected bandits believed to be loyal to notorious bandit leader Bello Turji have reportedly killed two people, injured three others, and abducted several residents during a deadly overnight attack on Kwaren Gamba community in Sabon Birni Local Government Area of Sokoto State.
The attack, which occurred on Saturday night, is the latest in a series of violent raids targeting communities in Sokoto East, raising fresh concerns over the worsening security situation across the region.
Deadly Night Raid Leaves Residents Dead and Injured
According to information shared on Sunday, the armed attackers stormed Kwaren Gamba community under the cover of darkness, opening another chapter in the wave of insecurity affecting parts of Sokoto State.
