Phyna Accuses Sheggz of Physically Abusing Bella During Their Relationship
Former Big Brother Naija housemate Phyna has accused Segun ‘Sheggz’ Olusemo of physically abusing his former partner, Bella Okagbue, during their four-year relationship.
Phyna made the allegation shortly after Sheggz publicly confirmed that his relationship with Bella had ended in January 2026.
Sheggz had said the breakup was caused by “issues of trust and respect,” which he described as matters he could not ignore when thinking about marriage.
However, Phyna has now offered a different account of the relationship, alleging that Sheggz was controlling toward Bella and at times treated her badly.
Phyna Claims She Witnessed an Incident at Bella’s House
In a series of claims shared on Snapchat, Phyna said she witnessed what she believed was an incident of physical abuse while spending the night at Bella’s home.
According to her, Sheggz returned to the house around 5am, after which Bella followed him upstairs. Phyna said she later heard noises coming from the room and went to check on them.
She claimed that when Bella eventually came downstairs, she appeared distressed, with her hair scattered and tears in her eyes.
Phyna said she asked Bella whether Sheggz had beaten her, but Bella initially denied that anything had happened.
She also claimed she had earlier heard Bella shout, “Sheggz, you’ll kill me.”
Phyna alleged that Sheggz later came downstairs and told her to advise Bella to behave properly if she wanted the relationship to lead to marriage.
According to Phyna, Bella later told her that Sheggz had assaulted her because Phyna was present at the house that night.
Phyna Says Sheggz Tried to Control Bella’s Friendships
Phyna also accused Sheggz of attempting to control who Bella associated with during their relationship.
She claimed that Sheggz did not like her friendship with Bella and was responsible for a period when the two women stopped communicating.
“It was Sheggz who told her to stop being close to me,” Phyna claimed.
She further alleged that Sheggz had never been comfortable with Bella maintaining certain friendships, adding that she believed she knew a significant amount about what went on behind the scenes in the relationship.

Phyna also rejected suggestions that Bella was desperate to get married or that she had cheated on Sheggz.
She alleged that Bella frequently returned from dates upset because of the way Sheggz allegedly spoke to her in public.
“Honestly, I’m very disappointed in you, Sheggz. He never treated Bella nicely,” Phyna said.
She also dismissed a screenshot allegedly suggesting that Bella had been unfaithful, describing the claim as false.
According to Phyna, Bella was not desperate for marriage but simply wanted to settle down at the right time.
The allegations come days after Sheggz publicly confirmed the end of his relationship with Bella, putting renewed attention on the couple’s time together and the circumstances surrounding their split.
