Saka claims that the appointments were made to cover positions left by former Permanent Secretaries’ statutory retirement.

Dr. Solomon Oluseyi Sokunbi, Mr. Abiodun Oladunjoye Akinwunmi, Mr. Adedeji Akanbi Sowunmi, Mr. Olumide Olusola Ogunbo, Mr. Dolamu Isaiah Idowu-Agida, and Tpl. Musinat Abiola Ayodele are the newly appointed Permanent Secretaries, according to the release.

According to the Head of Service, the nominations were made in accordance with Section 208(c) of the 1999 Constitution after “careful consideration of merit, professionalism, and inclusivity.”

He clarified that in order to be appointed to the highest public service leadership positions in the state, such as the post of Permanent Secretary, all six appointees have to satisfactorily complete the Ogun State Pipeline Leadership Development Program.

According to Saka, the selections demonstrate Governor Abiodun’s dedication to creating a Civil/Public Service that is more efficient, adaptable, and goal-oriented.

He continued by saying that the recently appointed Permanent Secretaries had been instructed to carry out their duties with exceptional leadership, integrity, devotion, and selfless service.

According to the statement, the recently appointed Permanent Secretaries are anticipated to play significant roles in promoting current reforms within the Ogun State Civil/Public Service and assisting in enhancing service delivery for the benefit of locals.

On a date to be announced later, Governor Dapo Abiodun is anticipated to inaugurate the new Permanent Secretaries.
