How four Men Allegedly Impersonated Nyesom Wike In Order To Defraud A Military Officer Of ₦150 Million

Four guys have been detained by police on suspicion of scamming a retired military commander and others of more than ₦150 million by impersonating as Nyesom Wike.
Lere Olayinka, Wike’s media assistant, issued a statement that included this information. On Tuesday, March 24, 2026, Yashim Kajang, who resides at 3 Martin Elegoma Street, Nigeria Army Post Housing E, Phase 1 Kurudu, was arrested.
He allegedly persuaded a retired Major General A K Ibrahim and a number of others that he had ties to the Director of Lands and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory.
He allegedly collected more than ₦150 million from the victims and offered to give land documents for Plot 1985, which included three hectares at Guzape II, Abuja, along with other plots. Kajang named three other people as his partners while being questioned.
They are Terngu Ipaven of 2 Chief Palace Road, Durumi 2, Abuja, and Stephen Mhambe and Danladi Jatau of the Federal Capital Territory Administration’s Urban and Regional Planning Department.
According to reports, Kajang said that the group gave him information and land data that he utilised in the fraudulent operation.
The authorities are still gathering information regarding the crime, and the four individuals are still being investigated.
