Atiku Condemns Obi Convoy Blockade, Raises Alarm Over N266bn Capital Outflow

Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has described the blockade of Peter Obi’s convoy in Benue as deeply shameful while linking the incident to wider concerns about political tolerance in Nigeria.
In a separate statement, Atiku also raised alarm over a reported N266 billion net foreign investment outflow, describing it as a vote of no confidence in current economic management.
He argued that policy inconsistency continues to push capital away from Nigeria.
The African Democratic Congress candidate urged security agencies to investigate the Benue disruption thoroughly, as opposition voices continue to use both the incident and the capital-flow figures to question the administration’s handling of politics and the economy.
Government spokesmen have dismissed the economic critique while condemning any form of violence against political actors.
The two issues have now become part of a wider political argument over security, political tolerance and investor confidence, with opposition figures demanding closer scrutiny of both the Benue incident and the reported movement of foreign capital out of the country.
