APC Chair Yilwatda Pledges Not To Disappoint Tinubu, Members

Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has told members, party leaders, and President Bola Tinubu that he will meet their expectations. After being re-elected and sworn in at the APC national conference in Abuja late on Friday night, he made this promise in his victory speech.

Yilwatda and other APC National Working Committee (NWC) members emerged by a consensus accord.”I give you a clear and bold assurance that we will not falter, I would rather fail you together, and we will step forward to be counted when it matters most,” said he.” We stand stronger as a political party with unity, progress will be steady and enduring, and our victories are assured, so I urge all of our members and supporters to remain steadfast and united.”

He thanked Tinubu and other party leaders, saying, “Today, every officer elected at this convention, we say we are grateful.” I’m truly grateful.

This August gathering, let me reassure you that I fully and completely accept this mandate, fully aware of the historical context, our people’s expectations, and the severity of the situation.

“I am aware that we will now bear the responsibility of providing them for the millions of our members from every ward, every state, and every corner of this country. I will accept this responsibility with gratitude.”
