Abiodun Congratulates APC Chairman, NWC Members Following National Convention
Nentawe Yilwatda, the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has received congratulations from Ogun State Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun on his reelection at the party eighth national convention. Over 8,000 delegates attended the convention, which was held in Abuja’s Eagle Square and was characterised as credible and peaceful.
Additionally, Governor Abiodun congratulated Ali Dalori, Benjamin Nwoye, Ajibola Basiru, and AbdulKarim Kana, the other newly elected members of the National Working Committee (NWC).
The governor commended the convention’s performance in a statement released in Abeokuta, pointing out that it showed the party cohesion and democratic power. He explained that Professor Yilwatda’s rise was a result of his successful leadership since taking office in July 2025.
Abiodun expressed optimism that the newly formed NWC would guide the party toward more success, especially as the 2027 general elections get closer.
He continued by saying that the APC dedication to democracy and sound governance was underlined by the open process that resulted in the party’s leadership.
