Jared Leto Faces New Sexual Misconduct Allegations From Multiple Women in Investigation

Academy Award-winning actor and Thirty Seconds to Mars frontman Jared Leto is facing fresh allegations of criminal sexual misconduct after multiple women came forward with detailed claims in a new investigative documentary.
The accusations, made public by 10 women, include allegations of sexual assault, grooming, statutory rape, sexually explicit communication with minors, and inappropriate conduct spanning more than a decade.
Leto, who is now 54 years old, has not responded to the allegations despite repeated attempts to seek his comment.
Four Women Detail Serious Criminal Allegations
Four of the women interviewed accuse Leto of conduct they believe amounts to criminal offences during encounters that allegedly occurred when they were teenagers.
According to their accounts:
- One woman says she was sexually assaulted inside a motel bathroom when she was 17 years old.
- Another alleges Leto threatened her with sexual assault after she unexpectedly found herself alone with him in a hotel room at age 19.
- A third woman says she had sex with Leto in California when she was 17, an encounter she says took place despite the state’s age of consent being 18, which could legally qualify as statutory rape.
- A fourth woman alleges Leto groomed her beginning at age 16, making repeated sexually explicit phone calls and suggesting they should have sex.
The fourth accuser also says she later received a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) intended to prevent her from discussing her relationship with the actor. She says she refused to sign it.
Six More Women Describe Similar Encounters
The investigation also includes accounts from six additional women.
Four of them claim they received repeated phone calls from Leto that they described as strange, sexually explicit, or inappropriate while they were young.
Another woman alleges that when she was 14 years old, Leto instructed a security guard to escort her backstage after making what she described as a lewd comment about her body during an autograph session.
According to her account, her mother confronted the actor immediately afterward, but he allegedly repeated the same comment.
Together, the women say their encounters with Leto occurred between 2002 and 2016, when he was in his 30s and 40s.
Several of the women are speaking publicly for the first time.
Former Band Staff Raise Concerns
The documentary also features interviews with two former members of Thirty Seconds to Mars’ touring staff.
They claim employees often felt uncomfortable with the way Leto interacted with teenage girls, alleging that young fans were sometimes invited backstage or to locations where the band was recording.
One former staff member said the significant age differences regularly concerned those working around the band.
