Remi Tinubu Viral Advice Was Not Meant for Yahoo Boys or Obidients, Says APC Chieftain Ayekooto

Ayekooto Akindele, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), claims that internet scammers and followers of Peter Obi, the 2027 presidential contender, were not the target audience for Remi Tinubu's contentious business advise.

Ayekooto Akindele, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), claims that internet scammers and followers of Peter Obi, the 2027 presidential contender, were not the target audience for Remi Tinubu contentious business advise.

Recall that President Bola Tinubu wife stated that starting a small business, such as frying akara, is not hard in a widely shared video that offered advice to women on small and medium-sized enterprises.

Additionally, Tinubu’s wife stated that women can make ends meet by selling kulikuli and roasted maize.

Netizens reacted negatively to the advice, which was documented in a widely shared video, accusing the First Lady of patronising young Nigerians without jobs.

Ayekooto Akindele responded by defending Remi in a post on his official X account on Saturday, claiming that the guidance was intended for the underprivileged.

The APC leader claims that “nearly every home in Nigeria patronises every petty business Remi Tinubu mentioned on a daily basis.”

Even the lamenting yahooboys and ObiDENTs consume one or two of these things every day. They want to sell automobiles like Coscharis, Lanre Shitu, or Elizade, but they think it’s too low.

Thankfully, their level surpasses Mama’s, so they’re not the ones Mama was referring to.

“Mama was speaking to people who are on or below the poverty line and who wish to maintain their dignity while making a living without sleeping with strangers at motels or tricking foreigners online.” Lawful labour has dignity.
