Rema Reveals He Was Drugged by Women at a Very Young Age

Divine Ikubor, better known by his stage name Rema, is a Nigerian singer who has talked about how being well-known at a young age affected him. He claims that he was taken advantage of.

According to newspapers, Rema rose to fame in 2019 after signing with Mavin Records and releasing his debut EP at the age of 19.

Rema disclosed that he was drugged as a child by women in the lyrics of his new song, “Moviestar,” featuring French singer Sofiane Pamart.

The 25-year-old claimed that because fans are unaware that he “got caught up so young,” they are unable to comprehend his personal anguish.

“Girls always give me drugs,” he sings.

Their tiny handbag contains my joy.

I always feel plundered by friends.

In the lyrics, Rema went on to say that it was difficult for him to give up after signing the record agreement, emphasising that the label expected him to sing and amuse audiences without taking his emotions into account.
