2027: I Sought Tinubu Approval Before Resigning – Adelabu

Adebayo Adelabu, the immediate former Minister of Power, has stated that, in contrast to rumours, he conferred with President Bola Tinubu before to his resignation. Adelabu said as much in a statement that Newspaper was able to obtain on Saturday.

According to a newspaper, Adelabu resigned in order to pursue his goal of becoming governor of Oyo State on the All Progressives Congress (APC) platform.

Prior to his resignation, Adelabu reportedly failed to make the required consultations.

Adelabu clarified that his departure was not in any manner against Tinubu’s wishes in a statement provided to newspapers by his media assistant, Femi Awogboro.

“Adelabu actually obtained the full approval and blessing of President Tinubu before taking the decision to resign,” the statement stated. People who are propagating unfounded rumours should stop; they are unfounded.

“The unprecedented crowd that welcomed Adelabu back to Ibadan last Thursday is the only thing that unnerves critics, who have nothing concrete against him.”
