The “Juice” vocalist disclosed that he took a hiatus from music to focus on personal growth during a recent livestream with media Cater Efe.
He clarified that after embarking on a self-discovery path, he has now turned back to music.
“I’ve visited the mountain. I embarked on a voyage of self-discovery. But I’m back,” he declared.
YCee also gave an explanation of the legend behind his nickname, “Omo Alhaji,” stating that although his father does not practise Islam, he is a Muslim.
The musician stated that “love” is the core of his particular spiritual system.
With singles like “Jagaban,” “Jucie,” “Omo Alhaji,” and many more, YCee ruled the Nigerian music scene prior to his break.
