The Grammy-winning singer Temilade Openiyi, better known by her stage as Tems, has given an explanation for why she is unable to approach or date Nigerian male superstars.
At the BET Awards ceremony over the weekend, an interviewer questioned Tems if she would approach the attractive Super Eagles custodian Maduka Okoye if given the opportunity. Tems said that she wouldn’t regard him that way because they are both Nigerians.
The “Love Me Jeje” singer clarified that she views other Nigerian superstars as “brothers” and is not interested in a sexual connection with them.
“I know who Maduka Okoye is, but I don’t know him personally,” she remarked. But I wish I had. However, we don’t shoot at him here.
“We [Nigerian celebrities] are family and friends. My male coworkers are like brothers to me.
