APC Chairman Yilwatda Meets City Boys Movement Ahead of 2027 Election
The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, has met with members of the City Boys Movement as political activities gradually intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Yilwatda met with the leadership and volunteers of the movement on Saturday at its headquarters, where discussions centred on the group’s activities and its support for President Bola Tinubu’s bid for another term in office.
The meeting was disclosed by Bashir Ahmad, Deputy Director of Media Monitoring and Rapid Response for the City Boys Movement, in a post shared on his verified X account.
Yilwatda Commends Group’s Political Activities
During the meeting, the APC national chairman reportedly commended members of the City Boys Movement for their commitment and the work they have been carrying out across the country.
He also encouraged the group to maintain its momentum as preparations for the 2027 elections continue to gather pace.
The movement has been actively mobilising support for President Tinubu ahead of the next presidential election, making the meeting significant as political groups begin positioning themselves more openly ahead of the election season.

The meeting is another indication that political mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections is already taking shape, with support groups and party structures stepping up their activities well before the election itself.
