Military arrests three Boko Haram, ISWAP suspects in Borno

Three suspected ISWAP and Boko Haram accomplices have been taken into custody by Operation Hadin Kai troops in Borno State Monguno Local Government Area.
Security analyst Zagazola Makama announced the development in a post on X.

The article claims that on April 13, members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) and members of the Sector 3 Military Intelligence Brigade in the Abari general region apprehended the suspects. Falmata Abukar, 43; Halima Audu, 35; and Mairo Abba, 17, were named as the suspects.

They were stopped while trying to go from Abari to Mararaba hamlet in Kukawa Local Government Area, according to security sources.

“12 pairs of suspected terrorist uniform materials, 176 bottles of herbicide, 22 wrappers, 24 different children’s clothes, a mosquito net, a mat, and N15,500 in cash are among the items recovered from them,” Makama stated.

The materials were thought to be logistical supplies intended for militants operating along the Lake Chad axis, according to the sources.

In order to ascertain their degree of involvement and potential connections to terrorist organisations in the area, the suspects are presently being held in military custody and are the subject of an initial inquiry.
