Kehinde Bankole Named in Meta’s “Made by Africa” Campaign Spotlighting Nollywood Talent

Nigerian actress Kehinde Bankole, a two-time Africa Movie Academy Award winner, has been featured among the African talents highlighted in Meta’s 2026 “Made by Africa, Loved by the World” campaign.
The campaign celebrates African filmmakers and performers whose work is reaching audiences beyond the continent, with Bankole’s inclusion reflecting the expanding international profile of Nigerian entertainment.
Kehinde Bankole’s International Career
Bankole already has a résumé that connects Nigerian entertainment with international productions.
She has performed at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London and voiced a role in Disney’s “Iwaju”. She has also appeared in productions distributed by major streaming platforms including Netflix and Amazon Prime.
Her career therefore extends beyond traditional Nollywood productions, combining Nigerian film and television work with international entertainment projects.
Meta’s African Entertainment Campaign
Kezia Anim-Addo, Meta’s Communications Director for Africa, the Middle East and Turkey, described the initiative as an opportunity to recognise the way African stories are reaching audiences around the world.
Dami Kujembola, CEO of Amplify Africa, Meta’s 2026 media partner for the campaign, also highlighted filmmakers who remain connected to their origins while gaining recognition internationally.
Bankole’s inclusion puts her alongside other African creative talents being recognised for their contribution to the continent’s growing entertainment profile.
Nollywood’s Global Expansion
The campaign comes as Nigerian entertainment continues to expand through international streaming platforms, festivals and collaborations.
For performers such as Bankole, that expansion creates opportunities to work across different production systems without abandoning the Nigerian industry that established their careers.
Her combination of award recognition, theatre experience, Nollywood productions and international streaming work reflects the increasingly diverse paths available to African actors.
The “Made by Africa, Loved by the World” campaign therefore adds another international spotlight to Kehinde Bankole’s career while highlighting the wider movement of Nigerian stories into global entertainment.
