‘Don’t rush into marriage; it’s not an achievement’ — BLord

Linus Williams Ifejirika, commonly known as Blord, a famous Nigerian businessman, has advised singles to wait until they are financially and emotionally equipped before considering marriage.

In a recent episode of the Adult Gist podcast, BLord expressed concern about some young people marrying before they are financially comfortable owing to peer pressure and societal expectations.

He advised Nigerian youths not to rush into marriage, arguing that it is not an achievement.

“Do not rush to marriage. Take your time and choose a decent life partner. Don’t break ladies’ hearts because one day you will have a daughter, and whatever you did to other people’s daughters, someone else will do to your daughter.

“Treat ladies like you’d like them to treat your daughter. Ladies, treat a man as you would like them to treat your kid. So don’t rush into marriage.

Marriage is not an accomplishment. Nobody should pressure you into marrying. Because rushing into marriage will inevitably lead to rushing out.

“Okay, take your time. Age does not matter… Don’t marry someone you’ll regret later. Because reversing marriage is really difficult, particularly when children are involved,” he explained.
