Borno guber: Babagana Zulum presents APC consensus candidate Mustafa Gubio to VP Kashim Shettima
At the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Thursday, Borno State Governor Professor Babagana Umara Zulum formally introduced Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima to Engineer Mustafa Gubio as the All Progressives Congress, or APC, consensus candidate for governor.
According to Governor Zulum, Gubio rise was the result of extensive discussions among party members throughout the state, demonstrating the Borno APC’s strong sense of unity.
Zulum declared, “We applaud President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his strategic leadership, steadfast support, and guidance to both the APC and the Borno State Government.”
“I want to express my profound gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the leadership he is providing in the country and for the enormous support that the APC and Borno State have received, which has been unprecedented,” he continued. Gubio’s rise to prominence as the front-runner has been greatly aided by the President.
Former Governor Senator Ali Modu Sheriff (represented by Senator Maina Ma’aji Lawan), Deputy Governor Hon. Umar Usman Kadafur, and APC Deputy National Chairman Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori were among the dignitaries present.
Other members were Speaker of the Borno State House of Assembly, Hon. Abdulkarim Lawan, Hon. Abdulkadir Rahis, and Hon. Mukhtar Betara Aliyu, as well as Senators Mohammed Tahir Monguno, Mohammed Ali Ndume, and Kaka Shehu Lawan SAN.
