2027: FCT House of Reps aspirant meets All Progressives Congress leaders, unveils grassroots-driven agenda

Sarah Ivie Adidi, a candidate for the AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives, met with Tanko Ishaku Yamawo, the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), where she presented what she called a grassroots, people-centered agenda in advance of the 2027 elections.

In addition to tackling infrastructure deficiencies throughout the territory’s communities, Adidi stated that her aim is to reform the FCT through youth empowerment, skill development, high-quality education, and better healthcare delivery.

Speaking during the visit to Abuja on Wednesday, the candidate stated that her goal is to close the gap between the people and the leadership and that inclusive governance, community involvement, and sustainable development would be given top priority in her campaign. She claims that the agenda focuses on tackling important issues at the local level, such as youth unemployment, access to high-quality education, healthcare delivery, and infrastructure deficiencies throughout the FCT’s communities.

“I’m dedicated to creating a representation that pays attention to, comprehends, and addresses the actual concerns of our people. Service, responsibility, and making sure that no community is left behind are the main goals of this voyage, she stated.

Adidi emphasised the value of working together with stakeholders and party leaders, stating that her consultation with the FCT APC leadership was a part of initiatives to improve party cohesion and match her vision with its main goals.

Tanko Ishaku Yamawo, the chairman of the FCT APC, urged her to continue interacting with party members at all levels.

He underlined that candidates must continue to uphold the party’s principles and support nonviolent, issue-based campaigns.

Additionally, the chairman promised that all candidates running for the party ticket will face equal opportunities.

Adidi had previously announced her intention to represent the AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency in her ward, Dutse Alhaji.

Adidi stressed the importance of job development, access to high-quality infrastructure, healthcare, education, and youth empowerment, among other things, when establishing her program for the constituency’s citizens.
