Mr Macaroni Explains Why He Has No Interest in Going Into Politics

Famed comedian and social commentator Mr Macaroni has spoken publicly about why he has no interest in going into Nigerian politics.
According to him, the industry has the tendency to change people, and he does not want such a fate to befall him.
His comments are not entirely surprising, considering his history of commenting on a wide range of social issues and using his platform to speak about matters affecting Nigerians.
However, few expected such a straightforward statement from Macaroni.
The popular comedian prefers to comment on social issues from outside the political space, where he feels he can have the most impact.
Macaroni Draws a Line
His comments have generated different reactions, with some people noting that he has already established himself as a prominent voice on social issues without holding political office.
On the other hand, critics argue that public figures who are passionate about Nigeria’s development can contribute directly by participating in politics.
Either way, Macaroni’s position is clear from the comments attributed to him: he is not looking to turn his activism and social commentary into a political career.
That distinction is worth noting because speaking about politics and actually becoming a politician are two very different things.
For now, it seems that Mr Macaroni would rather continue using comedy, commentary and public conversations to address issues he considers important than step into the political arena himself.
