Xabi Alonso Backs Cole Palmer to Bounce Back With Big Chelsea Season
Chelsea are preparing for their Premier League opener against Fulham on Monday, with Palmer among the players expected to attract plenty of attention as Xabi Alonso begins his reign at Stamford Bridge.

Alonso Expects Palmer to Return Stronger
Alonso believes Palmer’s problems last season were partly linked to injuries and the disruption they caused to his rhythm.
The Chelsea boss said the immediate priority is for the England international to regain his fitness, enjoy his football and build a stronger understanding with his teammates.
Alonso is confident that once Palmer settles into the team’s rhythm and stays healthy, his quality will become evident again.
The Spanish coach also praised the work Palmer has been doing behind the scenes to reduce the chances of suffering further injury setbacks.
For Chelsea, getting the best out of Palmer could be crucial as Alonso looks to build a team capable of competing much higher up the Premier League table.
Chelsea Strengthen Squad Ahead of New Campaign
The Blues have also been busy strengthening their squad during the transfer window, adding experience and quality to the team.
Among the new arrivals are Morgan Rogers, Maxence Lacroix, Danny Welbeck and Jordan Henderson.
The additions give Alonso more options as he attempts to reshape Chelsea and avoid another disappointing league campaign.
