Anambra Government Breaks Silence After Fake Made-in-Nigeria Agency Scandal

The Anambra State Government has explained how it became involved with a purported Made-in-Nigeria Agency that has now been exposed as fake and non-existent.

The state government said it had been preparing to host a South-East Made-in-Nigeria Fair in December after receiving what officials believed was an official request from the agency.

The controversy came to public attention after the agency was exposed and a photograph of Anambra State Secretary to the Government, Chiamaka Nnake, began circulating online with her identified as the state’s focal person.

Nnake has now clarified her involvement, saying her dealings with the organisation were based on official communications received by the state government.

    How Anambra Became Involved

According to Nnake, the matter began in January 2026 when the state received a letter from the purported Made-in-Nigeria Office.

The letter was said to have come from an office claiming to operate under the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation and requested that each state nominate a focal person.

Following the request, Governor Chukwuma Soludo nominated Nnake to represent Anambra State.

She said focal persons from the 36 states subsequently joined a WhatsApp group where they discussed activities and plans connected to the purported office.

At the time, there was no indication to the state officials that they were dealing with an organisation that did not actually exist.

December Fair Was Already Being Planned

The controversy deepened when the purported agency later contacted Anambra State with a request to host the South-East edition of its Made-in-Nigeria Fair.

The state approved the request, after which an inaugural planning meeting was held approximately two weeks ago.

Nnake said the meeting was attended by a person presented as the National Coordinator of the organisation.

Based on those interactions, preparations began for the event, which was scheduled to take place in Anambra from December 2 to 5, 2026.

The revelation that the organisation was allegedly fake has now left the state government explaining how it became involved in the planned event.

Nnake Distances Herself From Other Activities

Nnake said her involvement was limited strictly to the official communications and engagements she described.

She stressed that she had no knowledge of, involvement in or connection with other activities, claims or developments attributed to the purported agency.

Her clarification followed the widespread circulation of her photograph, which created the impression that she was actively involved in the organisation beyond her role as the state’s nominated focal person.

The Anambra government has therefore sought to separate its legitimate engagement with what it believed was an official government initiative from any other activities associated with the organisation.

The development has also raised fresh questions about how the purported agency was able to communicate with state governments and secure their participation before its legitimacy came under scrutiny.

Troops Foil Attack on Plateau Community as Suspected Gunmen Retreat Into Bushes

Troops operating under Sector 8 of Operation ENDURING PEACE have foiled an attempted attack on Manja community in Mangu Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The security operation took place on Saturday after troops received intelligence about the movement of armed men suspected to be preparing to attack the community.

Security personnel were quickly deployed to the area, forcing the suspected attackers to withdraw towards nearby bushes with their cattle.

The development comes amid continued security concerns in parts of Plateau State, where communities have faced attacks and clashes in the past.

Troops Responded After Fresh Security Alert

According to information on the incident, troops received another alert at about 4:12 p.m. concerning an attempt by suspected attackers to infiltrate Manja village.

The soldiers immediately launched a pursuit operation while maintaining a strong security presence around the community.

The response was aimed at preventing the suspected attackers from gaining access to the village and putting residents at risk.

Security forces also carried out offensive patrols and clearance operations across the surrounding areas as they continued efforts to prevent another attempt to enter the community.

    Security Presence Remains Around Manja

Troops are reportedly maintaining operations around Manja and neighbouring communities as part of efforts to keep residents safe and prevent further attacks.

The continued patrols are particularly important for residents who may be worried about their safety following reports of armed men moving around the area.

For now, the security operation has prevented the reported attack from taking place, while troops continue to monitor the surrounding communities for any further movement by suspected attackers.

The development highlights the importance of timely security intelligence and rapid military response in communities facing threats from armed groups.

  • 2027 Election: Primate Ayodele Warns of Fake Polling Units, Urges INEC to Tighten Security

2027 Election: Primate Ayodele Warns of Fake Polling Units, Urges INEC to Tighten Security

Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has raised concerns over the conduct of Nigeria’s 2027 general elections, warning that alleged fake polling units and voting booths could be used to manipulate the process.

Ayodele issued the warning on Sunday, August 23, 2026, through a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin.

According to the cleric, electoral authorities should pay close attention to the possibility of fake polling locations being established in different parts of the country ahead of the elections.

Ayodele Raises Alarm Over Alleged Fake Polling Units

Ayodele claimed that some individuals could attempt to create fake polling units and booths as part of plans to interfere with the votes of unsuspecting Nigerians.

He urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to treat the warning seriously and take steps to ensure voters are properly informed about the locations of legitimate polling units.

The cleric said any failure to address the issue could create confusion on election day and potentially affect the credibility of the results.

“I am seeing a lot of fake things regarding the election which the INEC must take seriously,” Ayodele said.

He further claimed that fake polling units, booths and electoral materials could allegedly be spread across the country in an attempt to weaken the votes of some Nigerians.

Cleric Questions INEC’s Readiness for 2027

Beyond the alleged fake polling units, Ayodele also questioned INEC’s level of preparation for the 2027 elections.

He described the forthcoming presidential election as likely to be more difficult than previous elections and called on the commission’s leadership to put stronger measures in place before Nigerians head to the polls.

According to him, INEC must work ahead of time rather than waiting until the election period before addressing possible challenges.

He specifically called on the INEC chairman to strengthen the commission’s preparations and ensure that the electoral process is credible.

2027 Election Could Be Tough, Ayodele Says

Ayodele predicted a highly competitive presidential election in 2027, saying the challenges surrounding the poll could be different from what Nigerians have experienced in previous elections.

He maintained that INEC needs to take the necessary warnings seriously and ensure that voters have accurate information about polling locations and other electoral arrangements.

His comments come as political activities and preparations for the 2027 general elections are expected to gather momentum across the country.

For many Nigerians, the credibility of polling units, voter information and electoral materials will remain critical issues as the country moves closer to another major election cycle.

The allegations made by Ayodele are predictions and warnings rather than established evidence of a current plan to create fake polling units. INEC’s preparations and any official measures introduced ahead of the 2027 elections will therefore be important in determining how such concerns are addressed.

  • Davido Banned From Performing in Edo After Clash With Governor Okpebholo

Davido Banned From Performing in Edo After Clash With Governor Okpebholo

Afrobeats star Davido has reportedly been barred from performing in Edo State following his heated public exchange with Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo over the outcome of the recently concluded Osun State governorship election.

The dispute began during the campaign for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in Osun State, Bola Oyebamiji. At the time, Governor Okpebholo criticised Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, questioning his administration and even taking a swipe at his dancing.

Davido, who is known for his close relationship with Governor Adeleke, fired back at Okpebholo on social media. The singer mocked the Edo governor by sharing his West African Examinations Council (WAEC) result.

The exchange escalated after Adeleke emerged victorious in the Osun election. In an interview with News Central, Davido made it clear that he had no intention of apologising to Okpebholo.

The singer argued that the governor had no justification for attacking Adeleke, whom Davido described as a sitting governor performing better than his Edo counterpart.

Davido later took the confrontation a step further in an open letter posted on Instagram, challenging Okpebholo to be ready for him.

The controversy has now reportedly spilled beyond social media, with Davido allegedly banned from performing in Edo State.

The development has generated fresh reactions among fans and followers, particularly because Davido remains one of Nigeria’s biggest music stars and regularly performs at major events across the country.

The dispute also highlights how political disagreements involving celebrities can quickly move from online exchanges into real-world consequences, especially when prominent entertainers openly take sides in political battles.

  • Israel DMW Reacts to Edo Ban on Davido: ‘Nobody Can Stop My Oga From Visiting His Maternal Home’

Israel DMW Reacts to Edo Ban on Davido: ‘Nobody Can Stop My Oga From Visiting His Maternal Home’

Davido’s logistics manager, Israel DMW, has reacted angrily to the reported ban on the singer from performing in Edo State, insisting that no one can prevent the music star from visiting the state.

The controversy followed a directive reportedly issued by the Edo State Government after Davido’s recent online clash with Governor Monday Okpebholo during the Osun State governorship election.

Edo Government Reportedly Bans Davido From Performing in the State

Apostle Kassy Chukwu, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Okpebholo on Digital Media, announced in a video on Friday that Davido had been barred from performing in Edo State.

According to the announcement, the decision was linked to the singer’s online exchange with the governor during the Osun State governorship election.

The development quickly attracted attention online, with Davido’s supporters and members of the entertainment industry reacting to the reported directive.

Israel DMW Fires Back at the Announcement

Israel DMW, who is from Edo State and works closely with Davido, rejected the idea that the singer could be prevented from visiting the state.

He argued that Davido has a personal connection to Edo, pointing out that the singer’s mother is from the state.

Israel also attacked Kassy Chukwu over the announcement, questioning his authority to speak on behalf of Edo residents.

In a strongly worded post shared alongside a picture of the governor’s aide, Israel described Chukwu as a “settler” and accused him of causing trouble in Benin City.

He further insisted that the announcement should not be regarded as the position of the people of Edo State.

‘No Man Can Ban Oga From Edo’

Israel made his position clear in the fiery post, declaring that Davido could not be banned from Edo, which he described as the singer’s maternal home.

    He wrote:

“He’s from Ebonyi State, and not from Edo. 100% a real settler, who has become a complete nuisance in Benin City.”

Israel continued by dismissing the reported ban, adding:

“Kindly disregard what he’s saying. He’s not speaking for we Edolites. No man on this planet earth, can ban Oga from Edo, his maternal home.”

The heated reaction has added another layer to the growing controversy surrounding Davido and the Edo State Government, with attention now focused on whether the reported ban will stand and whether the singer will respond personally to the development.

Odumodublvck Alleges Music Stars Are Protecting Alleged Sexual Abuser Amid Blaqbonez Feud

Nigerian rapper and singer Odumodublvck has made fresh allegations surrounding his long-running feud with fellow rapper Blaqbonez, claiming that attempts have been made to arrest him over complaints allegedly filed by people involved in the dispute.

The rapper made the claim during a recent concert while addressing the controversy that has continued to attract attention within Nigeria’s music industry.

The latest development comes months after Odumodublvck publicly accused Blaqbonez of sexual abuse in a series of posts on X in June 2026.

Blaqbonez subsequently threatened legal action over the allegation.

Odumodublvck Links Alleged Police Arrest Attempts to Feud

During his recent appearance, Odumodublvck alleged that he has faced repeated attempts by the police to arrest him because of complaints made against him by people with whom he has been involved in the ongoing conflict.

He further claimed that any reports of his arrest should be viewed in connection with the dispute surrounding Blaqbonez.

“In Nigeria, I have a case, and the police have tried to arrest me several times because of the people who went to report me to them because I’ve been raging war against them.”

Odumodublvck went on to allege that the situation was connected to what he described as an effort to expose a cover-up involving an alleged sexual abuser.

Rapper Calls Out M.I Abaga, Ice Prince and Others

Taking his claims further, Odumodublvck mentioned veteran Nigerian musicians M.I Abaga and Ice Prince, alleging that they were among those protecting the person he accused.

“They try to arrest me, so anytime you hear that I have been arrested, just know that it’s because of Blaqbonez.”

    He added:

“They are trying to cover up a sexual abuser. M.I Abaga, Ice Prince, all of them are covering up a sexual abuser, but they cannot take me down.”

The allegations remain claims made by Odumodublvck, and no finding of criminal liability has been established against the individuals he mentioned based on the information available in the report.

How the Odumodublvck and Blaqbonez Dispute Escalated

The controversy intensified in June after Odumodublvck used social media to make allegations against Blaqbonez, including the sexual-abuse accusation.

Blaqbonez later said he had initially chosen not to engage with the controversy because he was not concerned about being portrayed as the “bad guy.”

He said the situation changed after Odumodublvck publicly accused him of sexual abuse, prompting him to indicate that he was prepared to pursue the matter legally.

The latest comments from Odumodublvck have now added another layer to the dispute, with the rapper alleging police pressure and accusing other prominent figures in the music industry of attempting to shield an alleged abuser.

The claims have yet to be independently established, while the dispute between the two rappers continues to generate reactions across Nigeria’s entertainment scene.
