Delta police successfully rescue abducted victim

A kidnapped victim who was snatched at his home in Abraka Community has been successfully rescued by Abraka Division agents working with vigilantes and hunters in the Ethiope-East Local Government Area of Delta State.
After receiving a complaint on April 1, 2026, the victim was saved on April 3.
In a statement in Warri, SP Bright Edafe, the public relations officer for the Delta State Police, verified the victim’s rescue.
“The victim was kidnapped by armed men who invaded a residence at Denedo Extension, Abraka,” he stated.
“The Divisional Police Officer mobilised patrol teams in cooperation with vigilantes and hunters and stormed the bush where the victim was taken to,” he said.
The victim was saved in a thicket along the railway line after the accused fled after realising that the police were pursuing them.
“While efforts are ongoing to arrest the suspects, the victim is safe and has provided useful valuable information.”
