Chelsea are on the verge of completing the signing of French defender Maxence Lacroix from Crystal Palace after reaching a full agreement on a deal worth £52 million.
The 26-year-old centre-back is expected to undergo his medical on Friday before putting pen to paper on a long-term contract at Stamford Bridge, bringing an end to weeks of transfer discussions.
Crystal Palace had initially valued the defender at more than £60 million, but Chelsea successfully negotiated the fee down to £52 million to secure one of their top defensive targets of the summer.
