Toyin Abraham Reveals Four-Month Pregnancy Loss Amid APC Campaign Council Exit

Nollywood actress and filmmaker Toyin Abraham has opened up about a painful pregnancy loss, revealing that she was four months pregnant when she lost the pregnancy while she was still working on a movie.

The actress disclosed the experience while speaking at the Bestie Jesu Concert 2026 in Lagos, where she also spoke about the support she received during the difficult period.

Her revelation comes shortly after she rejected her reported inclusion in the Lagos State All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 elections.

Toyin Abraham Reveals Pregnancy Loss

Speaking at the concert, Abraham revealed that she had been four months pregnant before losing the pregnancy.

She explained that she was still filming at the time, making the experience particularly difficult because she had to continue working despite what she was going through.

The actress said she was emotionally affected by the loss and initially did not want to tell her parents, particularly because she was concerned about how her mother would receive the news.

Abraham also acknowledged the support she received from Pastor Bolaji Idowu during the period, including financial and spiritual support.

Her decision to publicly discuss the experience has brought renewed attention to the personal challenges she has faced away from the screen.

Why Toyin Abraham Rejected APC Campaign Council Role

The pregnancy loss revelation comes at a time when Abraham has also been in the news over her decision to distance herself from politics.

The actress was listed among several entertainers named as members of the Lagos State APC Campaign Council’s entertainment and creative economy directorate.

The list included prominent names such as Jide Kosoko, Saidi Balogun, Eniola Badmus, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma and other entertainment personalities. Abraham was also listed as Toyin Abraham-Ajeyemi.

However, she later made it clear that she did not intend to participate in politics during the 2027 election cycle.

Abraham explained that she had not been consulted before her name appeared on the campaign council list and that her decision to stay away from politics was deliberate.

She also rejected suggestions that her decision was mainly a response to online criticism or bullying.

According to reports on her clarification, the actress said she woke up to discover that her name had been included on a political list she knew nothing about.

Choosing Her Movie Career

Abraham has also indicated that her immediate focus remains her entertainment career.

The actress said she wanted to complete the movie she was filming rather than divide her attention between her professional commitments and political campaign activities.

Her position means that despite being listed among entertainers appointed to the APC campaign council, she does not intend to actively participate in the campaign structure.

The development has generated discussion among fans because entertainers have increasingly become part of political campaigns in Nigeria, particularly during election periods.

Toyin Abraham’s Personal Experience

The actress’s latest disclosure has also shifted attention away from the political controversy and towards the personal experience she described.

Her account showed that she continued working while dealing with the pregnancy loss.

Speaking publicly about the experience also gave her an opportunity to acknowledge people who supported her during that period.

The revelation has generated reactions from fans and followers, with many expressing sympathy after hearing the actress describe what happened.

Returning Focus to Her Career

Despite the recent political controversy and the personal experience she has now shared, Abraham remains active in the Nigerian film industry.

Her decision to remain focused on movie production means that her immediate priority is her entertainment work rather than political campaigning.

The actress has also continued to appear publicly alongside her husband and manager, Kolawole Ajeyemi, amid online discussions surrounding their family and personal lives.

For now, Abraham’s latest comments make her position on the 2027 campaign council clear: although her name appeared on the Lagos APC list, she says she is staying out of politics and concentrating on her career.

Her disclosure about the pregnancy loss, meanwhile, has offered a more personal side of the actress beyond the political controversy that recently surrounded her name.
